Locally emission-free driving in a comprehensive package: The EQV is electric, versatile, and available flexibly on subscription.

Berlin. Our Mobility is in transition. Many drivers are open to electric mobility, but would first like to thoroughly test it in their own everyday lives. Against this background, many customers will find interesting a development that has long been established in the use of the media and data, and is now increasingly advancing into other areas of our daily lives: the flat rate, also known as the all-inclusive offer. Starting now, Mercedes-Benz Vans is therefore also offering all those interested in the new EQV the new all-electric powered MPV on a subscription model. Customers who would like to make use of the vehicle flexibly over a specific period — without wanting to make a long-term commitment — thus have a further attractive offer available alongside financing, leasing, and rental.

The Mercedes-Benz EQV (combined electricity consumption: 26.4–26.3 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) is now available in the attractive subscription model at every participating Mercedes-Benz Van Rental or Mercedes-Benz Rent location.

The EQV on subscription also offers sufficient opportunity to experience the everyday suitability of an electric vehicle in a wide range of situations for a fixed monthly price. Following on from the launch of the subscription model for the EQC 400 4MATIC (combined electricity consumption: 21.3–20.2 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) 1 in June 2020, the EQV is the second member of the EQ family to offer this flexible entry into the world of electric mobility. This year, as of now, an EQV vehicle can be rented through the sales channel of participating Mercedes-Benz dealerships for €899 a month. Future customers can simply talk to a participating Mercedes-Benz Van Rental rental point or a Mercedes-Benz Rent Partner. The rental rate includes everything other than charging costs: A monthly mileage allowance of 1,250 kilometers, maintenance, tires, warranty repairs and a comprehensive collision insurance with a €1,500 deductible. Excess kilometers are possible subject to a supplement. The standard subscription period is 24 months and can also be flexibly ended at an earlier date subject to a three months notice period.

“We are fulfilling the growing customer wish for maximum flexibility by means of our subscription models for the EQC and the EQV from Mercedes-Benz Rent,” says Benedikt Schell, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Bank. “Subscription models close the gap between rental and leasing and bring together the best of these two worlds: an all-inclusive service with fixed monthly rates and flexible durations that can also be longer than rental periods.”
Andreas Böger, Head of Sales New Vehicles Mercedes-Benz Transporter and Vans Germany: “The EQV offers self-assured driving performance, a long range, and generous space — and all of that locally emission-free. Thanks to the subscription, customers who don’t want to be tied down for the long term yet but would like to flexibly check out the fascinating world of electric mobility can now get electrified by this vehicle.”

Customers who would like to purchase an EQV for a price starting at €69,588.40 (including VAT at 16%) will profit from the service offers included there: A four-year maintenance package covers the costs of maintenance work according to the service booklet and the manufacturer’s recommendations for this period and the Mercedes-Benz battery certificate guarantees the battery for up to 160,000 kilometers or eight years. Also included in the purchase price are the Mercedes me Remote & Navigation Services with a contract period of 36 months and the Mercedes me Charge function and Ionity membership, each for 12 months.

About the EQV

The EQV combines the variability of the V-Class with the advantages of an electric drive and is equally suitable for private and business use. In addition, the locally emission-free MPV is integrated in an electric mobility ecosystem comprising intelligent navigation with active range management and cloud-based services and apps. The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system serves as the central control unit. The EQV also sets benchmarks for electric mobility in its class with its range of up to 418 kilometers ,   and its wide spectrum of applications for the most diverse customer requirements.

Because the battery is installed in the underbody in such a way that it is protected, has a favorable effect on the center of gravity, and takes up little space, the EQV provides the same variability and functionality in its interior as its conventionally powered sister model, the V-Class. There is space for seating for up to eight persons in numerous configurations and a luggage compartment with a volume of up to 1,410 liters that is as flexible as it is large. The EQV is equally suitable for use as a family and leisure vehicle as it is as a representative company vehicle or as a VIP and hotel shuttle.

The all-electric MPV is produced in Vitoria, Spain, on a line with conventionally powered Mercedes-Benz V-Classes for a flexible production corresponding to customer requirements.
